Frequently asked questions
  • Update to how you can view electronic documents from 30 June 2026

What are the changes that will be made from 30 June 2026 onwards?

From 30 June 2026, conveniently view all electronic documents (e.g. eStatements and eLetters) via the OCBC app and Internet Banking; we will no longer send them to you via email.

I currently receive paper statements and letters. Will I be affected?

No. We will continue to send paper documents to your mailing address in our records.

How will I be affected if I am a joint account holder?

For joint accounts where any account holder can authorise requests: If the primary account holder has logged in to the OCBC app or Internet Banking since July 2025, electronic documents will be made available to all account holders. If not, the documents will be sent to the mailing address linked to the account.

For joint accounts where all account holders must authorise requests: Documents will continue to be sent to the mailing address linked to the account.

  • What are the benefits of electronic documents?

Electronic documents comprise eStatements and eLetters. These are statements and letters that are made available to you in PDF format via the OCBC app and Internet Banking. From July 2026, have three years’ worth of past documents at your fingertips. This will increase to seven years over time.

Here is the timeline for the next three years:
2026: Up to three years’ worth of past documents
2027: Up to four years’ worth
2028: Up to five years’ worth

Electronic documents reduce clutter and time spent organising your paper documents. In addition, you will receive useful notifications (e.g. payment reminders) in a timelier manner.

  • How will I know when a new eStatement or eLetter is ready for viewing?

You will be notified via email so long as your email address is up to date in our records. We will also send you a push notification if you have enabled push notifications for the OCBC app.

Wish to change your email address in our records? Do so via the OCBC app or Internet Banking, or at an OCBC ATM, new ATM or Service Kiosk. To learn how to enable push notifications, click here.
