Prefer traditional Ang Baos instead?

From 5 to 15 January 2023, book an online appointment to exchange up to $1,200 worth of Fit-for-gifting notes (Fit notes) and up to $1,200 worth of new notes at any OCBC bank branch.

Choose to use Fit-for-gifting notes to help save the environment. We assure you they signify prosperity just as much as new notes!

You will be able to make only one booking, which cannot be amended after it has been confirmed.

Do ensure that we have your latest mobile number and email address in our records so we can send you confirmation of your booking. Please note that if you update your mobile number/email address via OCBC Internet Banking or the OCBC Digital app less than 12 hours before making your booking, you will still receive your booking confirmation at your old mobile number/email address. This is because a cooling-off period of 12 hours applies before such key account changes take effect.

Recycle your red packets at any OCBC bank branch

We have, since last year, provided recycling boxes made from recycled materials at our branches. This is to make it more convenient for you to recycle your red packets.

Help reduce carbon emissions by depositing your red packets from 25 January to 10 February 2023.

You can drop off both used and excess red packets into these boxes at all our branches across Singapore. The red packets and recycling boxes will be pulped and made into products such as cardboard boxes. Last year, we collected 4,000 kg of red packets that were pulped to make 10,000 cardboard boxes.

What do I need to reserve new or Fit notes online?

So we can verify your identity, you will need to enter your OCBC ATM/credit/debit card number and date of birth when you book the appointment with us. Make sure we have your current mobile number (or else you will not get the confirmation SMS we will send you).

If you do not have an existing OCBC ATM/credit/debit card, you may visit any of our branches to apply for an ATM card on the spot. 

If you have not given us your current mobile number, you may go to any OCBC Bank ATM to do so.

How do I know if my appointment has been confirmed?

We will send an SMS – containing the branch, date and time at which you should collect your notes – to the mobile number in our records. We will also send you a confirmation email if we have your email address.

Can I amend the branch, date or time at which I should collect my notes, or the number and mix of notes selected, after I have made my booking?

We regret this will not be possible. This is to ensure that all our customers get the notes they selected at their preferred timing and branch.
