As an alternative, make your red packets greener by sending e-Ang baos via OCBC PayAnyone™.

Go green with OCBC
Recycle your red packets at any OCBC Branch

Since last year, we have encouraged customers to recycle their red packets by providing recycling boxes at our branches that are also made of recycled materials. This year, customers can once again join us in our efforts to reduce carbon emissions by recycling their red packets from 3 to 18 February 2022.

Customers can drop off both used and excess red packets into these boxes at all our branches across Singapore. The red packets and recycling boxes will be pulped and made into products such as cardboard boxes. Last year, we collected 4,000 kg of red packets that were pulped to make 10,411 cardboard boxes.

How do I make online reservations for New Notes?

Customers will be required to enter their OCBC Bank ATM, credit or debit card number and date of birth for verification and will be required to have a valid mobile number registered with OCBC Bank.

For customers who do not have an OCBC Bank ATM, credit or debit card, they can walk into any of our branches to apply for an ATM card on the spot.

Customers may also proceed to the nearest OCBC Bank ATM to update their particulars if they do not have a mobile number registered with OCBC Bank.

How do I know if the reservation made via OCBC Bank’s Chinese New Year New Notes Online Reservation Service is confirmed?

An SMS will be sent to the mobile number you registered with us, containing the reservation date and the branch you should visit. You will also be notified via email if you have an email address registered with OCBC Bank.

Can I amend the branch, date or time for collection – or the number and mix of new notes reserved – after submitting the reservation online?

No, we regret that you will not be able to vary the reservation details.
