The ‘Manage contactless ATM card’ feature makes it easy for you to enable or disable contactless payments for your ATM card. This feature can be accessed via OCBC Internet Banking and the OCBC Digital app.
Besides the usual ATM services, the contactless ATM card allows you to tap and pay for various purchases, including NETS purchases below S$100 (without having to key in your PIN), and MRT/LRT and public bus rides (you must maintain a minimum of S$20 in your bank account).
A variety of encryption techniques and unique keys are used in contactless ATM cards to reduce their risk of being intercepted or replicated for fraudulent purposes.
Gives you choice
The ‘Manage contactless ATM card’ feature lets you choose how you want to use your ATM card based on your preference – it gives you the option to disable contactless payments whenever it suits you.
Provides control
If you misplace your contactless ATM card, the feature allows you to temporarily disable contactless payments. Even if others find your misplaced card, they will not be able to access the funds in your account through making contactless payments.
- If you wish to use your ATM card solely for cash withdrawal at ATMs, disable contactless payments via OCBC Internet Banking or the OCBC Digital app.
- Disable contactless payments if you misplace your ATM card – this prevents others from making contactless payments with your card.
