NETS Contactless ATM Card FAQ

1. Why are you sending me a new ATM card?

The ATM card that you are holding will be expiring soon. As such, we are sending you a new ATM card to ensure your banking experience with OCBC Bank is not disrupted.

2. How do I know if my ATM card is a contactless ATM card? 

Your ATM card will come with the NETS contactless symbol


3. What is Contactless ATM card?

Contactless ATM card allows you to perform the following transactions:
  • Tap to pay for NETs purchase under S$100.
  • Tap to pay for MRT and bus rides.

4. What is the validity period for my new contactless ATM card? 

Your new contactless ATM card comes with a 10-year validity period.

5. Can I opt for a contactless ATM card?

The Bank issues contactless ATM card by default. If you do not wish to use the contactless feature, you may choose to deactivate it via ATM or Online Banking. This service will be made available to you in the 1st quarter of 2019.

6. I have a ATM card with NETS FlashPay feature. Will the contactless ATM card offers NETS FlashPay feature? 

We regret to inform you that the contactless ATM card does not have a NETS FlashPay feature.

7. How do I know if a merchant accepts contactless payment?

To know if a merchant accepts NETS contactless payments, look out for the NETS Contactless logo on the terminal, either in the form of terminal decals, wobblers, or tent cards.

8. How do I use the contactless ATM card for Payment?

For purchases less than S$100, please tap the ATM card at contactless NETs terminal to process payment without ATM PIN. For purchases above S$100, customer is required to enter his/her ATM PIN.

9. What happens if I lose my contactless ATM card?

If your contactless ATM card is lost or stolen, please contact us at 1800 363 3333 to report loss and prevent any unauthorised use of the card.
