Green Initiatives under OCBC Cycle

OCBC Cycle is an eco-friendly sporting event that promotes emission-free transport.

What we do

Our green initiatives

We eliminated close to 40,000 items at OCBC Cycle; for example, we chose not to use plastic bags for event packs - preventing 8,000 ziplock bags from entering the waste stream. We also used bins to collect 183 kg of fruit peels, which were composted instead of entering the waste stream.

Outside of the event itself, more than 60 OCBC Cycle participants helped plant 140 trees at Dairy Farm Park - one for every 50 cyclists who rode at OCBC Cycle 2019. These trees help store as much as 8,680 kg of CO2 over 10 years.
