OCBC 365 Credit Card doubles cashback earn rate for groceries and transport to 6%

At a glance
Singapore, 2 October 2026 – OCBC has refreshed its flagship OCBC 365 Credit Card with a simpler, single-tier minimum spend requirement and enhanced cashback earn rates across everyday spend categories.
From 1 November 2026, customers who spend at least S$800 a month will qualify for 6% cashback on groceries, dining, transport and petrol – up from 3% previously on groceries and transport – with monthly cashback capped at S$160. This gives customers more clarity and better value on their most frequent purchases both locally and overseas, and is one of the highest cashback caps among mass-market credit cards in Singapore.
The enhancements remove the complexity of multiple spending tiers and differing category rates, making it easier for customers to maximise their cashback. Previously, customers who spent at least S$800 but under S$1600 had their monthly cashback capped at S$80. Now, the OCBC 365 Credit Card’s single minimum spend amount of S$800 entitles customers to earn cashback of up to S$160.
Another enhancement is the expansion of the dining category to include fast-food establishments where 6% cashback can be earned. This makes it easier for cardholders to earn higher cashback on more dining occasions.
An OCBC survey conducted in July 2026 with 600 working adults in Singapore aged 21 to 64 found that among cashback cards, rewards on key essentials (dining, groceries, and public transport) continue to have the strongest appeal, ahead of categories like entertainment and travel. Participants prized cashback for helping to ease the burden of everyday expenses.
This focus on practical savings is consistent with the spending behaviours of OCBC 365 Credit Card users, who have maintained active usage since the card was launched in 2014. Three out of five OCBC credit cardholders today have an OCBC 365 Credit Card, and they make more than 25 transactions a month on the card on average. OCBC 360 Account customers also enjoy bonus interest on the first S$100,000 of their balances when they spend at least $500 a month on their OCBC 365 Credit Card. More than 1 in 4 customers who hold both an OCBC 365 Credit Card and OCBC 360 Account qualify for this bonus interest monthly.
This strong engagement extends even to Malaysia, where almost 1 in 4 overseas transactions on the OCBC 365 Credit Card is made. With Singaporeans increasingly travelling across the border for leisure, the refreshed proposition makes overseas spend more compelling by enabling cardholders to earn 6% cashback for overseas spending on dining, groceries, petrol and transport. More than one-third of overseas spending on the OCBC 365 Credit Card is expected to take place in Malaysia following the card refresh.
Regina Lim, Head of Group Card Payments and Personal Loans, OCBC, said, “The variety of card propositions in the market has undeniably increased over the past decade. Nonetheless, there remains firm demand for an effective everyday cashback card – one that is simple to understand and offers meaningful, easy-to-earn benefits for both local and overseas spend. Customers will earn the 6% cashback on things that they already spend on, such as dining out, buying groceries, taking public transport and refuelling petrol, so we are now just making it more rewarding for them to do so.”
