Chen Hanqing (b. 1996, China)

Chen Hanqing is a Chinese ink painter whose work is often described as flowing like murmured soliloquies – soft, steady and emotionally resonant. Trained in Flowers-and-Birds painting at the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts, he completed his master’s degree under Professors Liu Wanming and Wang Defang. Chen has been selected for the National Young Talent Painter Training Programme and is affiliated with institutions including the Li Keran Art Institute and the Ren Bonian Memorial Hall. He is also the founder of ReadWhite Art Space.

Han Sai Por (b. 1943)

Sculptor Han Sai Por is renowned for her stone-carved sculptures that transform hefty granite blocks into elegant figurative and organic forms. She has exhibited her works internationally across Southeast Asia, China, South Korea, North America and Europe. Some of her works are permanently displayed in Singapore’s hotels, libraries and Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) stations as well as at parks in Malaysia, Japan, the United States and the United Kingdom. Han was awarded the 1995 Cultural Medallion for her contribution to the arts.

Shao Jingkun (b. 1932 – d. 2019, China)

She graduated from the Drawing Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1954, and later taught at the Beijing Art Institute and her alma mater as an associate professor.
