Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation Limited (“OCBC Bank”) today announced the appointment of Ms Ivy Au-Yeung, age 58, as the Chief Executive of OCBC Wing Hang Bank Limited, the wholly-owned subsidiary of OCBC Bank based in Hong Kong, on 20 May 2021. Ms Au-Yeung will report to the Group CEO of OCBC Bank, Ms Helen Wong. Mr Na Wu Beng, the current Chief Executive, is retiring on 19 May 2021. Mr Na will remain with OCBC Wing Hang Bank as the Advisor to the Board until the end of 2021.

Ms Au-Yeung joined OCBC Wing Hang Bank as Deputy Chief Executive in December 2019, overseeing the Retail Banking Group of the Bank in Hong Kong, Banco OCBC Weng Hang, S.A in Macau and OCBC Wing Hang Credit Limited. Ms Au-Yeung brings a wealth of experiences to the job, including her more than 30 years of various positions in global banks in corporate and commercial banking covering relationship management, product management as well as credit and sales. Prior to joining OCBC Wing Hang, she was the Chief Executive Officer of the Hong Kong Branch of an Australian bank.

Over the past 1 1/2 years in OCBC Wing Hang, Ms Au-Yeung has strengthened the foundation and repositioned the Bank’s retail banking business for growth. She has also led Banco OCBC Weng Hang, S.A and OCBC Wing Hang Credit Limited to achieve good performances in a highly-competitive and difficult market environment.

Commenting on Ms Au-Yeung appointment and Mr Na’s retirement, Ms Helen Wong said, “Ivy’s breadth of experiences in corporate and commercial banking puts her in good stead to take on the role as the Chief Executive of OCBC Wing Hang. She is well respected by her colleagues and business partners. I am therefore pleased to welcome Ivy to the senior management team of OCBC Bank. I am also pleased that Wu Beng has agreed to stay on as Advisor to the OCBC Wing Hang Bank Board. Wu Beng is a highly-regarded senior banker with more than 40 years of experiences in financial services. Under his strong leadership as the Chief Executive of OCBC Wing Hang Bank, we have successfully integrated Wing Hang into the OCBC group and created strong synergistic value. Wu Beng has been instrumental in developing our Greater Bay Area Strategy and driving its successful implementation to achieve strong business results. On behalf of the management and staff, we wish Wu Beng a happy and fulfilling retirement.”
