Over 300 staff from Global Enterprise Banking went off for a 2D/1N trip to the harbour in Iskandar Malaysia on 18 March.
The EB Offsite is an annual divisional activity that encourages team unity, camaraderie and building new friendships across teams. It is also a time where management highlights the achievements of the group and prepares the staff for the future ahead.
This year’s offsite included an ‘Oscar-like’ Global Enterprise Banking Awards lunch format, celebrating the achievements of the performing teams and individuals’ contributions to the success of the bank. The winners from EmB include David Lau (from Community Banking), Customer Service Unit, Commercial Banking Cash, and the leaders of EmB2 & ABF. EmB was also the proud winner of the Excellence in Overall Financial Performance!
Embracing simple social technology, the offsite included the use of Instagram and themed the night dinner party as #EBInstaDance, where seven teams were grouped by different dance genres and competed in a friendly dance-off. The teams were Ballet, Belly Dance, Ballroom, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Pole Dancing and Tribal. No one broke a leg, but everyone showed that “just because you can’t dance, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t dance”. And so the night ended with a conga dance.
