New Phishing Email and Site Detected
It has been brought to our attention that there is a phishing email leading to a fraudulent website bearing an identical domain name, logo and images belonging to OCBC Bank.If you have received an email from email accounts of service@ocbc.com.sg to register your account information for some security upgrade process by OCBC Bank,Do Not Respond. We would like to remind our customers and other members of public that the official domain name of OCBC Bank is www.ocbc.com. Customers and other members of public are advised to be wary of suspicious websites bearing any resemblance to the OCBC Bank website.

If you have visited any such websites or received an email, short message service (SMS) text or instant message (IM) from an unknown party, instructing you to disclose or submit your banking details such as account numbers, usernames, passwords or credit card information online or otherwise, DO NOT respond but please alert us immediately by calling:

1800 538 1111 for Businesses

It is not the policy of OCBC Bank or any of its related entities to send emails, short message service (SMS) texts or instant messages (IM), to request customers to provide their personal information or instructing them to perform specific transaction. This also includes directing customers to websites that does not originate from OCBC Bank.

5. ONLINE SECURITY
At OCBC Bank, we’re committed to enhancing your online business banking security.
We strongly encourage that you install and maintain protection software.
At a minimum, they should include:

Firewall,
Anti-Virus and
Anti-Spam functionalities.

We also recommend that the software is constantly updated to increase the security of your computer systems.

TWO-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION (2FA)
With effect from 9th July 2007, all Velocity@ocbc customers are required to use the new Digipass for login to Velocity@ocbc.

If you have not received your new Digipass, please contact us at 1800 538 1111.

New Digipass

The Two-factor Authentication (2FA) process is designed to provide additional security for customers on Velocity@ocbc, our online business banking service.
2FA is a security process in which the User provides two means of identification.
One is typically a physical token (e.g. Digipass) which generates a security code. The other is typically something memorised (i.e. USER NAME, PASSWORD, ORGANISATION ID). Used in combination, these two factors provide greater peace of mind in performing banking transactions over the Internet.

Since the inception of Velocity@ocbc in 2001, Authorisers have been approving transactions online using the Digipass. In this 2FA exercise, we will be issuing new Digipasses to all Users of Velocity@ocbc.
