Our end-to-end data encryption feature for Mac OS users is not working as well as we would like and we have suspended the feature. SECURITY ALERT ON MALWARE IN CIRCULATION
We would like to bring to your attention that there have been recent reports of Trojan horse malware attacks on the internet banking websites here. The malware is designed to steal your Velocity@ocbc login information such as your User Name, Password and Organization ID and Security Code. It may also disable anti-virus protection and take over the control of your infected computer.

INTERBANK GIRO LIMIT INCREASED TO RM500,000

2-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION FOR VELOCITY@OCBC
With effective from 20 December 2010, all Velocity@ocbc users are required to use the new Digipass for login to Velocity@ocbc.
- For existing users, you may still use the old Digipass until you receive notification and the new Digipass from the us.
- For new users, we will automatically register you in the new system.

MINIMUM TRANSFER AMOUNT FOR RENTAS
We wish to inform that for remittance via RENTAS payment, the amount must be RM10,000 and above. Any amount (including deduction for service charge) that is less than RM10,000 will be rejected by the system. You may have to opt for remittance via GIRO instead.

Velocity@ocbc is now supported on Mozilla Firefox 3.x up to 3.6.3 with Java Run Time (JRE) 1.6 plugin. To ensure maximize compatibility, it is advisable to use the above browser platforms and withhold any browser upgrades until certified for use.

DISCONTINUATION OF MYR DEMAND DRAFT
From 8th May 2010 our MYR Demand Draft is no longer available in Velocity@ocbc
. Please issue Cashier’s Orders for all payments. This is because the CTCS cheque-clearing system now treats all Malaysian cheques deposited anywhere in the country as local cheques, and there is no more need for MYR Demand Drafts. Thank you.

IMPORTANT: EXCHANGE CONTROL NOTICE (ECM3) FROM BANK NEGARA
1. An external account holder is allowed to receive Ringgit funds transferred from an external account or a resident account via Internet bank transfer not exceeding RM5,000 per day in aggregate for any purpose.
2. An external account holder is allowed to transfer Ringgit funds to an external account belonging to a non-resident or resident account via Internet bank transfer not exceeding RM5,000 per day in aggregate for any purpose.
3. Important: It is a regulatory requirement for external account holders to declare the permitted purpose of payment made via internet banking. Otherwise, the payment will be rejected.
