Terms and Conditions Governing OCBC Credit cards HAPPY DAYS VALUE TREATS   (THE“PROMOTION”)

Promotion Period

1. The Promotion is valid only for purchases made from 30 March 2009 to 31 December 2009 (the “Period”).

Eligibility

2. Any existing OCBC Visa/Mastercard Credit Card whose Card Account is valid, subsisting and in the opinion of the Bank in good standing, shall be eligible to participate in the OCBC Happy Days Value Treats program. Corporate Cards, Private Label Cards and FairPrice Plus Cards are not eligible for this program unless otherwise stated.

Proof of Transactions

3. All redemptions have to be evidenced by original customer charge slips, NRIC, OCBC Credit Card together with a valid SMS Code.

4. Each original charge slip can only be used once for redemption of the Value Treats item. Charge slips used to redeem for any Value Treats items cannot be presented again for other items redemption or OCBC Cards spend and redeem promotions unless otherwise stated.

5. To receive a valid SMS code, Cardmembers have to SMS to 76062 in the following manner: item name<space>NRIC<space>16 digit card no. Please see below table for the item name for different Value Treats items. Eg: To redeem the S$5 Caltex Petrol, Cardmember need to SMS in this format: Petrol<space>1234567A<space>1234567890123456

6. Cardmembers need to SMS in on the day of the redemption for the Value Treats item they want and the SMS code is only valid for redemption on the same day at the designated merchant’s premises. SMS code presented after the day of receipt will be considered invalid.

7. Redemption is limited to one item per valid SMS code together with the original charge slip, and regardless of the amount accumulated in the charge slips as long as the minimum spend tier has been reached.

8. Cardmember will be allowed to send multiple SMS from the same mobile number, using the same credit card number within the same day, limited to ten (10) SMS codes per cardmember, per day to the same mobile number.

9. Qualifying spend amount for the Value Treats item cannot be aggregated between Principal and Supplementary cardmembers, and between different OCBC Credit Cards belonging to the same Cardmember.

10. This Promotion does not apply to recurring payment transactions, cash advances, balance transfers, existing instalment plans and transactions incurred overseas, online or via phone. This refers to retail purchases made locally. Only transactions done with OCBC Credit Cards with valid hardcopy Charge Slip will be recognized for the Value Treats item redemption.

11. For new 0% interest instalment plans, only the first instalment amount charged to the Card with charge slips can be used as qualifying spend for the Value Treats item redemption. The rest of the unbilled 0% interest installment amount will not be taken into consideration for redemption purposes.

12. To redeem for any of the Value Treats items on every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, Cardmembers must charge a minimum amount of S$200 within the calendar month of redemption from 30 March to 31 December 2009 to their OCBC Credit Card.

13. To receive one GV movie voucher valid for movies from Mondays to Thursdays, eligible Cardmembers of OCBC Credit Cards need to spend a minimum of S$200 to their OCBC Credit Card. Cardmember must present a maximum of 3 original charge slips with the same Credit Card number totaling a minimum of S$200.

14. To redeem for $5 FairPrice voucher, Cardmember must have one transaction slip from one of the FairPrice outlets: FairPrice Xtra Ang Mo Kio Hub, FairPrice Xtra Hougang Point, FairPrice Xtra Jurong Point (new extension), FairPrice Finest Bukit Timah Plaza, FairPrice Finest Thomson Plaza.

15. Cardmembers with duplicate redemption (regardless of any of the Value Treats items) using the same SMS code will be charge the amount of the item(s) redeemed to their Credit Card accounts from the following month.

Redemption Items and Quantity

16. There are four (4) Happy Days Value Treats items for redemption on different day of the week.  The day and quantity for redemption of the items are as follow:

17. Redemption of S$5 Caltex Petrol is strictly limited to 1,000 per week stated above and on a while stocks last basis.

18. The S$5 Caltex Petrol will be used to offset Cardmember’s Caltex Petrol bill upon redemption at any Caltex Service Station. Cardmembers can still enjoy the additional 7% off petrol with OCBC Credit Cards after redemption of the S$5 Caltex Petrol.

19. The S$5 FairPrice voucher redemption is open to all eligible OCBC Credit Cards including FairPrice Plus Card  and is limited to 1,125 each Wednesday as stated above and while stocks last. No reservations allowed.     

20. The Golden Village movie ticket is only valid for use from Mondays to Thursdays. Not valid for premium priced films, 3D films, GOLD CLASS cinema, Cinema Europa, group screenings, film marathons, films festivals and premieres. Not valid for telephone, internet, AXS and iGV bookings. Merchant’s Terms and conditions governing the use of movie tickets apply.

21. In the event that any of the Redemption Items are not readily available at the redemption booth, a redemption letter will be issued out for collection at a later date.

General

22. The Redemption Items and/or gifts are not exchangeable for cash, credit or kind in all cases, whether in whole or in part. OCBC Bank reserves the right to substitute any of the above Redemption Items and/or gifts with an item of similar value.

23. OCBC Bank shall not be responsible for the quality, merchantability or the fitness for any purpose or any other aspect of any Redemption Items and/or gifts.

24. Without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, OCBC Bank shall not at any time be responsible or held liable for any damage or defect in any gift, and/or for any loss, injury, damage or harm suffered or incurred by or in connection with any gift by any person.

25. OCBC Bank reserves the right at its absolute discretion to terminate this Promotion or vary, delete or add to any of these terms and conditions from time to time without notice including without limitation, the eligibility of any cardmember and the dates of the Promotion.

26. OCBC Bank’s decision on all matters relating to this Promotion will be at its absolute discretion and will be final and binding on all participants. No correspondence shall be entertained. In the event of any inconsistency between these terms and conditions and any brochure, marketing or promotional material relating to the Promotion, these terms and conditions will prevail.

27. These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of Singapore and the participants in the Promotion irrevocably submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore. A person who is not a party to any agreement governed by these terms and conditions shall have no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act (Cap 53B) to enforce any of these terms and conditions.
