Terms and Conditions GOVERNING THE EasiCREDIT – ‘LIFE’S PRECIOUS MOMENTS’ CONTEST (the “CONTEST”)
- The Contest Period shall be between 24 June 2009 and 30 September 2009 (both dates inclusive) or such other period as may be determined by Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation Limited (“OCBC”) in its absolute discretion.
- Any person who is:-
(a) a new applicant who successfully opens a EasiCredit account with OCBC during the Promotion Period; and
(b) successfully signs up for OCBC EasiCredit Cash-On-Instalment during the Promotion Period
(each, an "Eligible Customer" and collectively, the "Eligible Customers”), shall be eligible to participate in this Contest
- If the EasiCredit account of any Eligible Customer is suspended by OCBC or cancelled or terminated by either the Eligible Customer or OCBC for any reason whatsoever before the end of the contest or the Eligible Customer dies, the Eligible Customer will not be eligible to participate in the contest.
- Employees of OCBC, its related companies, its advertising agencies and any other parties who are directly involved in organising, promoting or conducting the campaign as determined by OCBC are not eligible to participate in the contest.
- A total of three (3) winners will be selected; 1 winner from each of the following Cash-On-Instalments approved periods will be selected:
(a) 24 June – 31 July 2009
(b) 1 August – 31 August 2009
(c) 1 September – 30 September 2009
The winner with the most deserving cause for the use of the Cash-On-Instalments will be manually selected by a panel of judges determined by OCBC. OCBC’s decision in selecting the winner shall be at its sole discretion and will be final.
- Each winner will receive a waiver of the instalment payments (excluding the processing fee) from their Cash-On-Instalment; capped at a value of $10,000. The winner will continue to pay for any amount exceeding $10,000 to the EasiCredit account in instalments as determined by OCBC.
- Each winner hereby authorises OCBC to disclose to any persons to publicise her name, photograph and any other particulars determined by OCBC in any mode and manner as OCBC may deem appropriate and, further agree to co-operate with and participate in advertising or publicity activities organised by OCBC in relation any EasiCredit campaigns without compensation whatsoever.
- OCBC reserves the right, at its discretion, at any time, without notice or assigning any reason therefore, replace or substitute any prize in the Contest with any other prize of equal or similar value selected by OCBC.
- If OCBC subsequently determines that a person is in fact not eligible for any prize, for any reason whatsoever, OCBC may at its discretion reclaim the prize and award or dispose of it in such manner and to such person/persons as OCBC deems fit in its sole discretion.
- No person shall be entitled to any payment or compensation from OCBC should any prize be forfeited or reclaimed. Without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, OCBC reserves the right to disqualify any person from the Contest if in the opinion of OCBC there has been any fraud or breach of these terms and conditions.
- The decision of OCBC on all matters relating to the Contest shall be final, binding and conclusive on all participants, including, without limitation, any decision on the eligibility of any person or to cancel or suspend the Contest. Subject to and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, OCBC's record(s) of the entries and/or the Contest shall be final, binding and conclusive for all purposes and in any legal proceedings. No correspondence will be entertained.
- In the event of any inconsistency between these terms and conditions and any brochure, marketing or promotional material relating to the Contest, these terms and conditions shall prevail.
- OCBC may at any time at its absolute discretion, without notice or assigning any reason therefore, delete, vary, supplement, amend or modify any one or more of these terms and conditions in such manner as OCBC shall think fit, including without limitation, the eligibility of any customer or participant, the bases and methods of identification of eligible participants of the Contest and any dates in connection with the Contest. OCBC shall not, to the extent permitted by law, be liable to for any claims, costs, expenses, loss or damage suffered by any person as a result of the aforementioned matters.
- All customer contact details provided pursuant to the Contest will become the property of OCBC, and may be used by OCBC in its sole discretion for future marketing related programs.
- These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of Singapore and the participants in the Contest irrevocably submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore . A person who is not a party to any agreement governed by these terms and conditions shall have no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act (Cap 53B) to enforce any of these terms and conditions.
