The following terms and conditions shall apply to the OCBC Mighty SaversTM Starter Card Programme (the "Starter Card Programme").
1. Eligibility
1.1 The Starter Card Programme is open to all OCBC Platinum Cardmembers' children below the age of 15 who are also enrolled in the Mighty SaversTM Programme (each, a "Qualifying Child") (Please refer to the Terms and Conditions Governing OCBC Mighty SaversTM Programme for enrollment details).
1.2 To apply for a OCBC Mighty SaversTM Starter Pack (described below) under the Starter Card Programme, the OCBC Platinum Cardmember must visit the branch personally and present his/her valid OCBC Platinum card together with the Cardmember’s identification (NRIC or passport) and provide the account number of one of the following accounts for the Qualifying Child which must be in good standing at point of application:
- OCBC Passbook Savings Account (in-trust-for account)
- OCBC Statement Savings Account (in-trust-for account)
- OCBC Young Savers Account
- OCBC School Savings Account (in-trust-for account, for OCBC School Plan customers only)
1.3 The OCBC Platinum Cardmember must be the parent or legal guardian of the Qualifying Child.
2. Programme
2.1 This Programme shall commence from 8 May 2007 until 31 Dec 2008.
2.2 Participation in the Programme is strictly through OCBC branches only.
2.3 Each Qualifying Child is entitled to one (1) Mighty SaversTM Starter Pack containing one (1) Mighty SaversTM Starter Card and such other assorted gifts, vouchers and/or other items, as determined by OCBC Bank in its sole discretion (each, a “Starter Pack”).
2.4 The Mighty SaversTM Starter Card is not a credit card.
2.5 The OCBC Platinum Cardmember can apply for any number of Starter Packs under his/her OCBC Platinum card subject to the limit of one Starter Pack per Qualifying Child.
2.6 Any lost Mighty SaversTM Starter Card may be replaced at any OCBC bank branch upon payment of an administrative fee of S$10. A new Mighty SaversTM Starter Card will be issued to the Qualifying Child.
2.7 Cancellation or termination of the OCBC Platinum card will automatically void the Mighty SaversTM Starter Card.
2.8 All items/gifts issued under the Starter Card Programme shall be accepted on an “as is” basis. OCBC Bank gives no representation or warranty whatsoever as to the quality, merchantability or fitness for purpose or any other implied terms and conditions with respect to any item/gift. Notwithstanding anything herein, OCBC Bank shall not at any time be responsible or held liable for any defect or malfunction in any item/gift, and/or for any loss, injury, damage or harm suffered or incurred by or in connection with the use of any item/gift by any person. The Mighty SaversTM Starter Card and other items/gifts are not transferable or exchangeable for cash, credits or otherwise, save as expressly permitted in these terms and conditions. All items/gifts are also subject to the terms and conditions accompanying them (if any).
2.9 OCBC Bank reserves the right, at its discretion, at any time, without notice or assigning any reason therefore, replace or substitute any item/gift issued under the Starter Card Programme with any other item of equal or similar value selected by OCBC Bank.
2.10 If OCBC Bank subsequently discovers that any person is in fact not eligible to participate in the Starter Card Programme or entitled to any item/gift, OCBC Bank may at its discretion forfeit the gift(s) or item(s) (or reclaim it/them if already awarded) and award or dispose of it/them in such manner and to such person/persons as OCBC Bank deems fit.
2.11 OCBC Bank shall not be liable to any Cardmember or any other persons for any loss or damage arising in connection with the Starter Card Programme, including without limitation, any error in computing any chances, any breakdown or malfunction in any computer system or equipment. Without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, OCBC Bank assumes no responsibility for lost, late, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, illegible and/or postage-due mail.
2.12 The decision of OCBC Bank on all matters relating to the Starter Card Programme shall be final and binding on all participants of the Starter Card Programme, including, without limitation, any decision to cancel or suspend the Starter Card Programme. Subject to and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, OCBC Bank’s record(s) relating to the Starter Card Programme shall be final, binding and conclusive for all purposes and in any legal proceedings. No correspondence will be entertained.
2.13 In the event of any inconsistency between these terms and conditions and any brochure, marketing or promotional material relating to the Starter Card Programme, these terms and conditions shall prevail.
2.14 OCBC Bank may at any time at its absolute discretion, without notice or assigning any reason therefore, delete, vary, supplement, amend or modify any one or more of these terms and conditions in such manner as OCBC Bank shall think fit.
2.15 OCBC Bank shall not, to the extent permitted by law, be liable to for any claims, costs, expenses, loss or damage suffered by any person as a result of the aforementioned matters.
