Terms and conditions for OCBC Credit Card Chinese New Year Spend and Redeem 2013 promotion

 

Promotion period

  1. The qualifying spend period will be between 1 January 2013 and 9 February 2013 (including both dates)("qualifying spend period").

    Who is eligible for the promotion

  3. You are eligible to take part in the OCBC Credit Cards CNY Spend and Redeem 2013 promotion (the 'promotion') if you are a principal or supplementary cardholder of an OCBC credit card (other than Private Label cards, Debit Cards and Corporate Cards) which is in good standing.
  4. There are 2,500 gift sets for redemption under this promotion. Each cardmember who meets the minimum spend amount of S$1,888 (including a minimum spend of S$20 nett at any Caltex service stations) within the qualifying spend period get to redeem a gift set per day from 11 January to 27 January 2013 at all Caltex service stations. Each gift set contains one (1) can of New Moon Abalone (425g) and one (1) can of New Moon Fish Maw Soup (400g).

    Proof of transactions

  6. To redeem each gift set under the promotion, you must go to the Caltex service stations together with all the items below:
    • your credit card
    • your NRIC or passport
    • up to six (6) combined original charge slips
  7. To qualify, all your charge slips must be dated between 1 January 2013 and 9 February 2013, both dates inclusive.
    • We will only accept valid hard-copy charge slips.
    • The qualifying spend will be computed based on the total spend consolidated across all OCBC credit cards (principal and supplementary) under your name.
  8. Once you have used a charge slip to redeem your gift set under this promotion, you cannot use it again for this promotion or any other OCBC promotions.
  9. You cannot use other cardmembers' charge slips for this promotion. Principal and supplementary cardmembers cannot use each other's charge slips for this promotion.
  10. You can only use the charge slips for purchases made in Singapore for this promotion. You cannot use transactions relating to recurring payment transactions, cash advances, balance transfers and transactions carried out overseas, online or by phone to qualify for this promotion. We will decide the type of transactions which qualify under this promotion. You will only be able to redeem a gift set if we are of the view that the transactions qualify under this promotion. 
  11. For new instalment plans, the full purchase amount charged to the card with a charge slip will be used as qualifying spend for the redemption of your gift set as long as you present the original charge slip. We will not consider the unbilled instalment amount for existing instalment plans as qualifying spend for this promotion.

    How to qualify for the redemption

  13. To redeem each gift set under this promotion, you must spend at least S$1,888 (including a minimum spend of S$20 nett at any Caltex service stations)on your credit cards from 1 January to 9 February 2013, both dates inclusive.
  14. You are entitled to redeem only one (1) gift set per day regardless of the amount you have spent (as long as you have spent the minimum amount of S$1,888 (including a minimum spend of S$20 nett at any Caltex service stations) to redeem the gift set. The charge slip used for the redemption cannot be used to redeem any gift set under this promotion or for other promotions thereafter. If you accumulate a further spend of S$1,888 (including a minimum spend of S$20 nett at any Caltex service stations) subsequently, you are eligible to redeem another gift set on a different day, subject to stock availability.
  15. We reserve the right to debit the retail value of the redeemed item from any account of a credit cardmember in the event that the credit cardmember who has successfully redeemed the item i) has made multiple gift redemptions on the same day or ii) terminates the card account within six (6) months from 9 February 2013 or iii) reverses any of the transactions made during the qualifying spend period.

    Where to redeem your gift

  17. A total of 2,500 gift sets are available for redemption under this promotion. Limited to the first 2,500 redemptions. All gift sets are given away on a first-come, first-served basis and while stocks last.
  18. The gift sets are available for redemption at all Caltex service stations during the redemption period.
  19. The total number of gift sets available for redemption is 2,500.We will not reserve any gift set for any person or entertain any request to transfer them to another station or another person.

    General

  21. You cannot exchange the gift set available under this promotion for cash, credit or other benefits. We have the right to substitute the gift set with an item of similar value.
  22. We will not be responsible if any gift set you redeem is of poor quality, is not suitable to be sold or used or is not fit for any purpose. We will not be responsible or held liable for any damage to or fault in any gift set, or for any loss, injury or harm any person suffers in connection with using any gift set.
  23. We have the right to end this promotion or change any terms and conditions at any time without giving you notice. This includes changing the rules relating to who is eligible for the promotion and the dates of the promotion.
  24. You allow us to reveal information about you or your account to any person (including the people involved in organising, promoting and carrying out the promotion) as we see fit.
  25. Our decision on all matters relating to this promotion will be final and binding on all participants. If there is any difference between these terms and conditions and any brochure, marketing or promotional material relating to the promotion, these terms and conditions will prevail. 
  26. The laws of Singapore apply to these terms and conditions, and any disputes between you and us will be dealt with in the courts of Singapore. Under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act (Cap 53B), a person who is not a party to any agreement governed by these terms and conditions does not have the right to enforce any of these terms and conditions.
