More than 300 parents and children attended the second OCBC SmartParenting Seminar on 25 Sept 2010 (Sat) at Carlton Hotel Singapore. This is a series of educational seminars where parents learn from the experts key developmental areas for their child, such as academic learning, creativity, life skills and health.
There is also a money management workshop for children where children can learn to be good money managers.
At the seminar, a paediatrician, Dr Janice Wong shared insights on identifying children’s learning capabilities, and how to help them learn differently and better. In addition, Anne Tay, Head of Wealth Planning from OCBC Bank, spoke about raising financially savvy kids. Parents also learned from Dr Tan Buck Chye, the pioneer of the Buzan 5-Step Learning Plan, on how they can unlock their children's brainpower and creativity.
