It was the eve of Christmas, Sally and Simon placed all the gifts they had received under the Christmas Tree.
They waited patiently but also with excitement for the clock to strike twelve - the moment to unwrap their gifts! ''I hope Mummy Sandra and Daddy Sam would give me a pair of ballet shoes as my Christmas present!'' Sally thought as she let out a soft hoot of glee. ''I wish Mummy Sandra and Daddy Sam would give me a mountain bike for my Christmas present!'' Simon thought, smiling intently.
Ding! The clock struck twelve. The two excited children unwrapped the presents. To their astonishment, the presents turned out to be a piggy bank for each. They muttered a word of thanks and walked into their room, feeling utterly disappointed.
''You are a mighty saver! You can now save your money into the piggy bank before depositing them in your bank account. '' Mummy Sandra tried to explain. Mummy Sandra put a one-dollar coin into each piggy bank. Sally and Simon also saved a dollar each everyday and soon the piggy banks were full. The two children poured out all their money and counted more than sixty dollars. ''Every drop forms an ocean!'' Sally said as they queued up in the bank. Attention to all children, start saving now!!
