With the latest addition to the family, it’s now back to the routine of 2-hourly feeds and frequent diaper changing. It’s been a while since followed the routine with Simon and Sally. But now, we’re unfazed since we’ve become experts at such tasks.
It's also time to prepare for Sarah's first month party. Thankfully, Sam and I have already planned ahead and have prepared the guest list. During my confinement period, in between Sarah’s feeding times, I was surfing the Internet, trying to find a suitable caterer. We have decided on a few requirements like having the red Ang Ku Kueh, and red eggs as we wanted to continue the Chinese tradition of having these items during a baby's first month party.
Sam being the super dad brought the twins out during the weekend and they bought many decorations for the party. The twins decided that the main theme was pink as they wanted to celebrate the arrival of their baby sister. There were pink balloons, pink table linings, pink napkins and somehow, they even managed to find disposable cutlery in, you guessed it, pink.
To bring the pink theme to life, we’re even asking our guests to come dressed in pink or at least with touches of pink. It’ll be fun seeing our relatives and friends all dressed up for the celebration. Sam is eagerly looking forward to entertaining the kids with magic and balloon tricks that day. A final touch to the party would be specially made pink cupcakes which would be given to the guests as party favours. It’s all pretty exciting and we can’t wait for the party to start!
