 Answers
1:What is MaxProtector? What does it cover?
  Ans:

MaxProtector is a non-participating regular premium limited pay term insurance that provides protection to life assured in the event of death, total and permanent disability or major cancers. If the life assured is diagnosed with major cancer, 20% of the sum assured will be accelerated and all future premiums will be waived.

The policyholder pays 10 years of level premiums and gets covered for 15 years. MaxProtector comes with a money-back feature whereby if the life assured survives until the end of the policy term of 15 years, a percentage of the total premiums paid will be refunded (depending on the plan offered).

8:What happens if I stop paying premiums?
  Ans:

You are given 30 days grace period from the due date of the premium to make the premium payment. If your policy has acquired enough surrender value, the Company will automatically grant an Automatic Premium Loan (APL), whereby the premium will be deducted from the surrender value at the prevailing  interest rate (non-guaranteed) and the cover continues.

The policy will continue for as long as there is enough surrender value to fund for the premiums and interest.

9:Can I take a policy loan?
  Ans:

Policy Loan is not available for MaxProtector.

10:Does MaxProtector acquire surrender value?
  Ans:

Yes. MaxProtector acquires surrender value from the end of 3rd policy year onwards. The Company will pay an amount equal to the percentage of total premiums paid to the end of the policy year less Automatic Premium Loan (APL) if any. The surrender percentages are dependent on the plan offered.

If you have not completed 12 months of that policy year, a pro-rated cash surrender value less Automatic Premium Loan (APL) if any, will be payable.

An early termination of the policy usually involves high costs and the surrender value payable may be less than the total premium paid if the policy is terminated before the end of policy term.
