1:What is SafeDrive?
  Ans:

SafeDrive is a comprehensive motor insurance that provides coverage for the accidental damages or loss of your private motor vehicle and your legal liability to third party arising from a motor accident.

2:Can I repair my damaged vehicle at any workshop?
  Ans:

SafeDrive requires the Insured to repair the damaged vehicle at any OAC’s authorized motor workshops or the vehicle’s authorized dealer if the vehicle is still under the warranty from the dealer.

3:Can I apply SafeDrive to insure my commercial vehicle?
  Ans:

No, SafeDrive is only applicable to private motor vehicle.

4:Are all private motor vehicles eligible for this scheme?
  Ans:

As long as the private motor vehicles meet the following criteria, they are eligible to insure under this scheme:
a) age of vehicle below 7 years old
b) vehicle of engine capacity 3,799cc
c) all models except coupes, cabriolets, sports and vehicles with turbo engines

5:Who is eligible to apply for this scheme?
  Ans:

You can apply for this scheme if
a) you are an OCBC customer, aged between 30 and 60 years old
b) you have not insured your private motor vehicle with OAC for the last 12 months
c) premium payment is made through your nominated OCBC account

6:Who should I contact if I want to know more about SafeDrive or get a quotation?
  Ans:

7:How do I apply for this scheme?
  Ans:

You can fax the duly completed and signed Proposal Form to OAC at fax no. 6327 3016.

8:How do I report an accident?
  Ans:

You can report the accident at any one of our authorized workshops or fill up the Singapore Accident Statement (SAS) form and fax/mail it to us together with a copy of the driver’s NRIC and driving license for us to e-file the report on your behalf.

9:How do I collect the policy contract?
  Ans:

All policy documents will be mailed to you directly at the correspondence address indicated in your proposal form.

10:How would I be notified on the renewal of the insurance?
  Ans:

A renewal notice will be sent to you 2 months before the expiry date of the policy.

11:I do not want to use my OCBC Credit Card to pay for the premium. Can you accept other bank’s credit card?
  Ans:

Sorry, SafeDrive is exclusive to OCBC Customers who pay using his/her nominated OCBC Account.

12:My friend/relative does not have an OCBC Credit Card and he/she is interested in applying for the OAC SafeDrive promotion scheme. Can I use my OCBC Credit Card to pay for my friend/relative’s premium?
  Ans:

SafeDrive requires the Insured to use his/her own OCBC Credit Cardmembers to pay the premium. However, if your friend/relative does not hold any OCBC Credit Card, we can make an exception for him/her to pay the premium by cheque or other bank’s credit card.

13:I do not have any OCBC Credit Card, can I use my OCBC Deposit Account to pay for the premium?
  Ans:

Sorry Sir/Mdm, we do not accept bank account as a mode of payment. However, we can make an exception for you to pay the premium by cheque or other bank’s credit card.
