 Answers
1:What is CashPA?
  Ans: It is a 5-year term personal accident plan that pays accidental death, accidental disability and daily hospital accident cash benefit. It allows you to enjoy 100% protection at only half the price as a 50% cash refund on your paid premium (without interest and GST) will be refunded to you upon completion of the 5-year term on the condition that there has been no known claim paid or lodged during the 5-year term.

2:Who can apply CashPA?
  Ans: All OCBC customers who are aged 21 – 59 years old and have a OCBC Credit Card/ Bank/ EasiCredit Account are eligible for this plan. You can also apply CashPA for your spouse.

3:Is there any age criteria for applying CashPA?
  Ans: The insured adult must be aged from 21 to 59 years old. This plan is automatically renewed up to age 65 years old.

4:Can I apply CashPA for my children/ parents/ siblings/ relatives/ friends?
  Ans: No, you can only apply CashPA for your spouse. Your relatives and friends may apply CashPA on their own if they are OCBC account holders.

5:I’m employed as a part-time driver. Can I apply for CashPA?
  Ans: Drivers are not are not allowed to apply for CashPA, even though they are employed on part-time basis.

6:I already have a personal accident plan with other insurer. Can I still apply CashPA?
  Ans: Yes, you can as this plan pays on top of your existing plan with the other insurer.

7:I already have an existing PA/ Hospital Cash policy with OAC. Can I still apply for CashPA?
  Ans: Yes, you can still apply for CashPA.

8:I already have an existing PA/ Hospital Cash policy with OAC. If I apply for CashPA, can I claim under both policies?
  Ans: Yes, you can claim under both policies.

9:Does the 50% cash refund of my paid premium that I get at the end of 5 years include interest and GST?
  Ans: No, the cash refund at the end of 5 years excludes any interest and GST.

10:Can I still make a claim under CashPA if I transferred to become a SAF Officer in the field/ doing more than clerical and administrative work midway?
  Ans: You are not entitled to any claim or covered under CashPA if you are now an active SAF officer, performing more than clerical and administrative work.

11:How is the cash refund being paid to me?
  Ans: The cash refund will be paid to you in cheque within 45 days from the maturity date of the policy 5 years terms.

12:If I terminate my policy prematurely before the 5th year, do I get 50% refund?
  Ans:

If the policy is terminated prematurely, the paid up premium (without interest and GST) is refunded based on the following scale:

13:Is the cash refund benefit guaranteed?
  Ans:

You are entitled to the cash refund benefit provided that the following conditions are met:

A) All premium due are settled in full

B) No claims have been paid to any insured person under the policy

C) No claims have been submitted by any insured person under the policy and are pending adjustment

15:After I submit the application, when can I receive the policy contract?
  Ans: You will receive the policy contract and documents 5 working days after the submission date.

16:How do I make a claim?
  Ans: To make a claim, you can contact our Customer Service Officers from Overseas Assurance Corporation Ltd at 6248 2628 from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

17:Do I have to renew the policy every month?
  Ans: No, you do not have to renew every month. This is an automatic renewal policy, up to age 65 years old. As long as the monthly premium can be debited from your designated OCBC account by the premium due date, the policy will be renewed and your coverage will be in-forced. Hence, you are advised to ensure that the nominated OCBC account has sufficient balance for debiting by the premium due date.

18:Will my policy to be automatically renewed after it matures after 5 years?
  Ans: No, it will terminate at the end of 5 years. You may re-enrol with OAC again after 5 years.
