1. What is OCBC Push Notification service?

We send important alerts related to your account and banking activity directly to you via the OCBC Mobile Banking app. These messages will be stored in your notifications Inbox on the OCBC Mobile Banking app for easy reference. You will need to register on the app to avail this service.

2. How do I register for OCBC Push Notifications?

You can do a one-time registration using OCBC OneTouch™, OCBC OneLook™ or your OCBC Online Banking Access code & OTP.

  • Launch the OCBC Mobile Banking app
  • On the login page, tap on the bell icon on the top left of the screen
  • Tap on the ‘Register’ button
  • Authenticate using OCBC OneTouch™ or OCBC OneLook™ or use your OCBC Online Banking Access code and PIN.
3. What happens after I register for OCBC Push Notifications?

You will receive notifications related to your accounts securely and conveniently in the OCBC Mobile Banking app, instead of via SMS.

If you have also registered for OneToken, you will also receive requests to authorise transactions performed on OCBC Internet Banking on your app via push notifications. For this, you must turn on notifications for OCBC Mobile Banking app when you open the app for the first time, or in your device settings.

4. Which are the transactions notifications I will receive?

  • Payments & transfers reminders
  • Saving goals alerts
  • e-Statement alerts
  • Funds transfer to your own account alerts
  • Bill payments alerts
  • Unit trust price alerts
  • Budget alerts
5. Can I change back to SMS notification after choosing Push notification?

Yes, you may switch back to receive alerts via SMS through settings available in ‘Manage e-Alerts’ screen under ‘Customer Service’ on OCBC Internet Banking.

6. Can I register for OCBC Push Notification on multiple devices?

You can only activate OCBC Push Notification service on one device at a time.

7. How to view and read messages received via Push Notification?

Account and banking related notifications will be stored in the notifications Inbox on the OCBC Mobile Banking app. You can access these anytime by tapping on ‘bell’ icon on the login page.

Note: Messages in Inbox will be stored for up to 6 months.

8. Do I need to login to access Inbox on Mobile Banking app?

No, you may access your messages in the notifications Inbox by tapping on the notification badge or the “bell” icon on the login screen. This is available without having to login.

9. I have changed to a new phone, can I continue to use OCBC Push Notification on my new Phone?

Yes, you just need to activate OCBC Push Notification on your new phone. Notifications sent in the past 6 months will be available on the device you have last registered for the service.

10. I have registered for OCBC Push Notifications but would like to deactivate the service, how do I do so?

You can do so via the ‘settings’ icon at the top left of the notifications Inbox.

11. Can I delete messages that I no longer need?

You can delete a message in your notifications inbox by swiping left and tapping ‘Delete’. You can also delete the latest 20 messages by tapping on ‘Clear’ on the top right of the screen.

Note: Once the message is deleted, you will not be able to undo it.
