Answers
- Can I use the YES! Card's EZ-Link purse immediately after I have received the card? That is, can I use it for MRT and bus rides? What do I need to take note of when using my YES! Card for
public transport?
To start using the EZ-Link purse on your card, all you need to do is to
perform a top up to the EZ-Link purse. This can be done at the following
EZ-Link card top up points:
- TransitLink Ticket Office
- Passenger Service Centre
- General Ticketing Machine (GTM)
- 7-Eleven
There is no need to visit any TransitLink Ticket Office to unblock the
card or pay for the usual S$5 card cost for an EZ-Link card as the YES!
Card comes with an EZ-link purse.
As a general guide, you are advised to have a minimum value of S$3
in your EZ-Link purse for MRT travel. This value ensures that you
have the required fare when you exit the gate, even for the longest
train journey.
For bus travel, please have sufficient value to cover the fare from the
point of boarding to the end of the bus route/interchange. At the
point of exit, the unused fare is returned into the EZ-Link purse when
you tap out. As minimum value for bus travel varies, a S$3 balance
is recommended if you are unsure of the fare. This S$3 value is used
because it is the balance required for entry to the MRT system, and
would be easier for you to remember.

What should I do when I had misplaced/lost my YES! Card?
a) You should contact OCBC’s 24-hour Contact Centre at
1800 363 3333. Upon report, you will not be liable for further
Visa and NETS transactions on the card. OCBC will treat this
similarly to a 'lost card' situation and issue you another YES! Card.
b) If you had opted for EZ-Link EZ-Reload by Card using your YES!
Card, you should also contact EZ-Link Hotline at 6496 8300 to
report the loss. Operating hours are from 8am to 6pm daily
except public holidays. Outside of these hours, there will be a
voicemail for you to leave a message with your name and
contact number. Your report will only be logged as of the time
stamp of your recorded message. For further details on what
to do, please visit www.ezlink.com.sg. Note that there are
guidelines on your liabilities for such situations. If you did not
opt for EZ-Link EZ-Reload by Card, you will lose the remaining
stored value on your EZ-Link purse.

You should follow the same procedure as if you had misplaced or
lost your YES! Card. Contact OCBC Bank and EZ-Link immediately to
report this.

- What should I do if I want to terminate my YES! Card?
Please contact OCBC's 24-hour Contact Centre at 1800 363 3333.
Please DO NOT cut your YES! Card yourself. If you had previously
used the EZ-Link purse, you will need the Card for refund at TransitLink
Ticket Offices.
After OCBC has confirmed the termination of your YES! Card, you
can visit TransitLink Ticket Offices with your card to get your refund
for the remaining amount in the Card’s EZ-link purse. If you had
opted for EZ-Link EZ-Reload by Card using your YES! Card, you will
receive your refund via your fast cash deposit account. If you had
not activated your EZ-Link EZ-Reload by Card, you will receive the
refund in cash on the spot.
Make sure that the staff in the TransitLink Ticket Office cuts up your
card in front of you once the refund is completed. TransitLink will
also retain your card and issue you a receipt.
We advise you to visit TransitLink Ticket Offices within one week of
terminating your YES! Card.
