OCBC Internet and Mobile Banking users who select Mobile Phone Token will be asked to do a one-time download and activation of a Mobile Banking application onto their mobile phones. Thereafter, they can use the mobile phone to obtain an OTP when prompted by the system.
One Time Activation Process of Mobile Phone Token:
View illustrated step-by-step guide here.
- The user will need to log on to http://mobile.ocbc.com via his mobile phone, select "Login Setup" on the Home page, then click on "Download Application" to download the Mobile Banking application.
- The installation process will start automatically once the Mobile Banking application has been successfully downloaded.
- After the installation is complete, the user will have to open the Mobile Banking application, select "Activate Mobile Phone Token", and follow the on-screen instructions from there.
Note 1: This is the only time you need to have GPRS connectivity with your mobile service provider - to enable you to download and activate the token. Once the token is activated into your phone, you can make use it to generate your OTP locally, without needing any network coverage at all.
Note 2: Please ensure that your mobile phone model is supported. Most GPRS (2.5/3G) enabled phones in the market are compatible. Please click here for a list of currently supported mobile phone models.
