Group Consumer Financial Services (Job Code: GCFS) Division offers an array of consumer products and services to more than one and a half million OCBC customers with diverse needs in Singapore and Malaysia. As a leader in several segments including Bancassurance, our services range from providing greater convenience in financial transactions and deposits, to increasing the number of options in loans, credit cards and wealth management products.
CFS Branch & Premier Banking
CFS Branch & Premier Banking is overall responsible for managing the OCBC network of branches and Premier Centres islandwide. It is the face-to-face channel that drives our consumer business where customers are served by a professional, dedicated and service-oriented team. In addition, our customers also enjoy the convenience of all week banking (including Sundays) at more than 20 Branches and Premier Centres located at shopping malls or near MRT and bus interchanges.
We have many teams that make up this network. At the frontline, a team of relationship managers provide personalised financial advice to both mass and affluent customers. They are further supported by an operations team who help to manage the day-to-day running of the branches. At headquarters, we have a strong support team to ensure the smooth delivery of our wealth management expertise and service. This comprises of the business management team, branch service and risk management team as well as the Premier Banking segment team who jointly formulate strategies and provide support to the network. Our consumer business is further expanded to Premier Offshore customers who reside overseas, but enjoy our Premier Banking service remotely and visit our Premier Centres in the region.All the teams in this unit work hand in hand to deliver service excellence to our customers.
CFS Quality Service Management
- The QSM & CA Department is responsible for driving a high and sustained level of service excellence in the Global Consumer Financial Services division. There are 3 main sections in QSM:
- Quality Team: This team leads, participates in and manages a portfolio of cross-functional projects aimed at re-engineering our process to better serve our staff and customers. It also is responsible for driving competencies in Quality thinking and skill-sets through identifying, training, coaching and certification of Six-sigma green and black belts. It is also responsible for measuring and tracking service performance.
- Service Team: This team drives the change to a more customer-centric culture change through key initiatives like reward and recognition programmes, service campaigns and empowerment frameworks. It also is responsible for service training in identifying critical service training competencies and customizing training programmes to skill up different job roles.
- Customer Assurance Team: This team is a customer-facing unit that manages customer complaint escalations with the aim of customer retention. It also acts as internal advisory to other departments in handling customer issues. It also represents the bank at Adjudication in cases of customer allegations of breach in the FAA (Financial Adviser's Act) regulation.
Credit Cards OCBC Cards is part of the lifestyle group responsible for unsecured products. Our product suite includes the only Titanium card in Singapore and the largest cobrand program in Singapore. OCBC is the number 4 player in the market. The business is responsible for both the acquiring and issuing business for OCBC.
The business is responsible for product development, acquisition, retention, product positioning and sales. There is opportunity to learn the end to end aspects of marketing within the cards group.
The cards business is the centre of excellence for cobrands and partnership. The business aims to be No. 3 in the market whilst striving to be the most profitable cards business in Singapore.
Group Lifestyle Financing
Group Lifestyle Financing aims to be one of the Top 3 largest players in the payments and financing space regionally. All country cards and unsecured lending business units have matrix reporting to the Head of Group Lifestyle Financing.
The Regional Team within Group Lifestyle Financing lends strategic support to the different in-country cards and unsecured lending business units (Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and China) to help them to grow and operate their businesses more efficiently and effectively. It supports the countries in the areas of product development, marketing, building operational excellence as well as business financial planning and reporting.
As a regional outfit, the team also hot-houses new regional initiatives and transition to the participating countries, upon maturity of the initiatives. This frees local teams to concentrate on in-country activities.
In an effort to bolster overall performance, the Regional Team is also building its knowledge store to more effectively share best practices with the various countries.
Successful candidates will be exposed to the full rigors of running a cards and unsecured lending business. They will be expected to actively participate in the assigned regional initiatives that ultimately support the aim of establishing a centre of excellence in the area of payments and financing solutions.
Consumer Secured Lending
Consumer Secured Lending Department develop business strategies, spearhead product development, portfolio management and marketing campaigns for core secured consumer products such as home loan, car loans, secured revolving loan, renovation & also administers tuition fee loans. It is also responsible for business development strategies for Auto Loan Financing as well as run both the Mortgage Specialists force as well as Customer Service Centre, which handles largely the repricing and retention of Home Loan customers.
Mass Segment Management
Mass Segment Management focuses on customer segmentation, identifying untapped customer value in the Mass Banking Segment and developing relevant segment strategy to acquire new-to-bank customers, and cross-selling/up-selling/retention campaigns to realize the existing customer value potential. The Segment Manager will formulate the segment proposition based on robust customer research and insights, followed by the creative packaging and marketing of appropriate solution sets (including products, services and delivery channels) to the target segment.
Examples of OCBC segment programs are “FRANK by OCBC” targeting youths and young working adults, “Mighty Savers Program” and Family Banking for young children and their parents, and workplace banking for young working professionals.
CFS Marketing CFS Marketing is the brand custodian for CFS responsible for developing the brand platform in support of CFS business strategy.
The department is incharged of the formulation, execution and co-custodian of marketing strategy / direction for CFS Departments (Products*, Segments** and Channels) to support their business objectives.
It is the Centre of Marketing Excellence for CFS, achieved through development and implementation of:

- Marketing Processes for the different mediums
- Measurement
CFS Finance & Operational Risk Management and Control CFS Finance is responsible for financial control for the Global Consumer Financial Services Division. And we support divisional senior management and business units with management information analyses, portfolio management, sales performance tracking as well as expense management. A key activity is the coordination of budgets and plans for the Division. The department has a regional focus and is currently represented in Singapore, Malaysia, and China.
Group Customer Analytics & Decisioning (GCAD)
Group Customer Analytics & Decisioning (GCAD) use data to better understand OCBC’s customer base and generate actionable insights.
These insights are used across the consumer banking franchise by all product, segment and channel managers to ensure that:

Our communications are always timely & relevant

Group Wealth Management
Group Wealth Management is responsible for designing wealth management solutions for the consumer segment. As part of the Consumer Financial Services division, the group works closely with various stakeholders internal and external in developing consumer value proposition that meets their financial needs. The group is organized in 4 key functions (i) product design and management (ii) advisory (iii) direct channel (iv) support. It has a regional focus with presence in Singapore , Malaysia , Indonesia and China.
E-business
E-business department is involved in the conceptualization and development of consumer banking’s internet and mobile banking products and services. The E-business Management Associate will be:
Managing new business initiatives from conceptualization to market rollout
Grow the usage of internet/mobile banking channel through innovation of new/enhanced functionalities and value adding services.
Manage the customer satisfaction, ongoing enhancements and operations of the internet/ mobile banking channels.
Business Transformation
The Consumer Financial Services franchise is undergoing a significant transformation programme. This will deliver a more customer-centred business model that leverages the efficiencies of regional standardisation. Our staff will be enabled through better use of emerging technologies that enable rich customer interactions, instant decisioning and straight through fulfillment and execution of customer instructions. The Business Transformation Department is overseeing the overall development and execution of the transformation programme, including a Project Management Office. Team members are actively engaged in leading or contributing to some of the critical capability building initiatives and projects and they frequently interact with the CFS leadership team.
