Get yourself a flying head start with the OCBC Management Associate Programme (MAP).

At OCBC Bank, we have carefully put together a distinctive 18-month programme to develop talented and promising individuals for a variety of roles within the Bank. We recognise that there are talents from outside the banking industry and we pride ourselves in having welcomed people from diverse backgrounds into the programme. As a Management Associate, you will receive comprehensive industry orientation, in-depth job rotation, premium training and personalized coaching from our experienced management staff. You could also stand to gain regional exposure through overseas postings and short-term assignments in Malaysia, Indonesia, China and Vietnam.

To qualify for the programme, you must possess an MBA or Masters Degree from a reputable school along with 2 – 6 years of full-time working experience. In addition to academic excellence, you must have a demonstrated track record of achievements in non-academic pursuits with outstanding qualities such as leadership potential, communication skills and strong business sense.

Banking Foundation Programme - Your journey as a Management Associate begins with a seven-week programme designed to give you a broad overview of the various business functions within the Bank, through classroom training and networking sessions. This is also a great opportunity for you to meet and interact with senior bankers and our management staff. You will also attend a one-week leadership programme aimed at better understanding your own personal leadership style and how you can leverage on it to work more effectively with others.

Unique business attachments - Upon completion of the one-month orientation, you will undergo a division-specific programme which will give you an in-depth understanding of the division's function. The schedule of activities could include workshops, self-study, on-the-job training, projects as well as overseas assignments. The business attachments, within and outside your host division, has been specially designed to allow you to be effective in your role at the end of the 18-month programme.

Mentoring - Within your first 12 months, you will be assigned a senior manager as your mentor to provide support and guidance for your on-going development. Our mentoring programme aims to provide you with a platform to gain a broader perspective of the Bank and how these perspectives can enhance your ability to make productive career decisions for yourself.

Applicants will undergo a rigorous selection process, including a one-day Assessment Centre, individual and panel interviews.

You will hold the rank of a Management Associate throughout the duration of your 18-month programme. At the end of the 18 months, you will be assigned the corporate rank which commensurate with your performance, demonstration of core competencies as well as your potential to take on a bigger role.
